Our client, a well-established construction and manufacturing organisation in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to oversee all technical and engineering aspects of construction projects. The role will ensure effective design coordination, technical compliance, value engineering, and high-quality project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical and engineering teams across construction projects

• Review, coordinate, and approve designs, IFCs, and shop drawings

• Ensure seamless coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines

• Provide technical solutions to site-related construction challenges

• Drive value engineering initiatives and cost optimisation

• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, authority regulations, and project specifications

• Oversee technical documentation, method statements, and material submittals

• Support project planning, procurement, tendering, and change management activities

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Civil, Architectural, Structural, or MEP Engineering (Masters preferred)

• 8–10 years of experience in technical management within the construction industry

• Strong expertise in multidisciplinary coordination and design review

• In-depth knowledge of UAE regulations and construction methodologies

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Work Environment

• Office & Site-based role (predominantly site-focused)
