Job Description:
Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned and commercially astute Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of our luxury jewellery brand in Dubai. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting, the health of our cash flow, and full compliance with UAE statutory obligations. The Finance Manager will serve as a key strategic partner to senior leadership, bringing both financial discipline and forward-thinking insight to support the growth and prestige of the brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of major financial projects, month-end closings, and year-end financial statements.
- Monitor and manage cash inflows and outflows, maintaining healthy working capital and liquidity at all times.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and suppliers; negotiate settlements, credit terms, and financial arrangements as required.
- Restructure financial liabilities with banks and statutory authorities when necessary to optimise the company's financial position.
- Uphold complete and accurate financial records, and actively support both internal and external audit processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to inform strategy development, goal setting, and financially sound decision-making.
- Stay abreast of evolving financial regulations, industry developments, and best practices — particularly within the UAE and luxury retail sector.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance financial controls, systems, and procedures to drive greater accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Oversee payroll processing in compliance with the Wage Protection System (WPS), including cash payment management.
- Finalise accounts and manage regulatory filings including VAT returns, AML compliance reporting, and corporate tax submissions.
- Supervise inventory control and management processes, ensuring alignment with the high-value nature of our product portfolio.
- Liaise and coordinate with SIRA authorities as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; a professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in financial management, ideally within the UAE — experience in luxury retail or jewellery is a distinct advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, corporate tax law, AML compliance requirements, and UAE Labour Law.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- High proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
