Engineering Technician (Pharmaceutical Operations)
Job Description:
Job Purpose
To ensure the reliable operation, monitoring, and maintenance of pharmaceutical production and laboratory process equipment, including water systems, utilities, and supporting facilities, while upholding cGMP, GDP, and EHS standards. The role safeguards product quality, minimizes equipment downtime, and contributes to the continuous improvement of engineering systems and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Monitoring

Operate and monitor water systems, production equipment, laboratory instruments, utilities, HVAC, BMS, EMS, and associated control systems.

Detect and escalate abnormalities to prevent disruption of production and quality processes.
2. Maintenance Execution

Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.

Troubleshoot technical issues and restore systems within defined response timelines.
3. Calibration & Testing

Conduct calibration, verification, and testing of instruments, alarms, and control systems in compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards.

Maintain calibration records and support audit readiness.
4. Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate engineering documentation in line with cGMP, GDP, and regulatory requirements.

Ensure timely completion of work orders, logbooks, and reports.
5. EHS Compliance

Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures, including statutory inspections, waste management, and safe work practices.

Support incident reporting, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
6. Facility & Vendor Support

Assist in managing utilities, facility systems, and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts).

Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure smooth service execution.

Experience Required: Minimum 3 years
Education: Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanics, or similar)
